Test scores tend to be greater than instructional scores If test scores are greater than instructional scores, once again the first question to ask is whether the data are reliable. Is a different person giving the test from the one doing the instruction? It could also be that the test is not measuring the same level of behavior as that being provided in instruction. Potential Remedy If one person is doing the assessment and another the instruction, check for reliability between the two. If they are reliable, be sure the test is measuring the same level of performance as that being provided during instruction.
