![]() SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 | Oftentimes an average teacher will be made good simply by the taking of instructional data. Even a good teacher will be made better if she takes data. There are lots of good reasons why to take data. Check out some good reasons in "Why take data?" But you might wonder where you should begin? The best place to start is with good data based objectives. The next section "Data based objectives" will give you the basics for writing good objectives. Then there are other criteria the teacher should consider in developing objectives and ultimately her instructional program. Check out the "Other criteria" at the left and reflect on whether and how these issues are being addressed in your class.
